A few fav's of the week.

My kids love having their picture taken. They ask me almost everyday if I will take it or if they can take one. It awesome, I love it.
Here's a few fav's of the week.

Happy Halloween!
Saturday was a big day the kids had a Primary party at the church followed by trunk or treat.

This is Ironman aka Mason. When he got this costume he wore it for like 4 days strait.

I grabbed the camera when I saw my darling diva daughter was walking around the house like this.

B lost his first tooth. I tried pulling this tooth out about five times and nothing worked. Bayly finally woke up Monday morning and said"mom you can try again after school, okay?" I never got to try again because it FELL OUT AT SCHOOL. His teacher was nice enough to put it in a bag so he could bring it home.

I was looking through some old clothes and found this robe of Bayly's. I had to put it on Ryder.

Gettin back to bloggin

Since it's been months since I last let you into my life I will some it up for you. Summer was Awesome! It was filled with family, friends, birthdays, play dates, swimming lessons, potty training, a vacation, and a wedding. I loved having the kids all day, free to do whatever we wanted whenever we wanted. I was sad to see it end.
Since my last post Bayly has turned 6, Ryder has turned 1, Anna has hit the big number 5 and my little Mason has been potty trained.
Now that fall is here and old man winter is on his grumpy old way the kids are back in school. They are loving everyday of it. Bayly is in grade one and says his teacher is "THE BEST!" Anna has started kindergarten and is so excited that she is in the same class as two of her friends from church.
With the kids in school, Anna back in dance, Bayly in soccer, Matt working around the clock and me in the YW Presidency things are pretty crazy around here. Oh and Ryder is walking all over the place getting into everything he sees (and believe me, nothing gets past Ryder). He busts a gut every time he is told "no". He thinks it's roll-on-the-floor-laughing kind of funny. I know this because that's exactly what he does. We love our little monster even if he drives his mama crazy.

Oh and I have been a reading machine. The Hunger Games Series? Do you know it? You should read it. It was delightful.

Here are a few pictures that I will be scrapbooking very soon.

Mason chasing the geese.

Anna trying out her front float

Bayly trying to master it

mmm....cake. Happy number one!

First day of school. she could not have been more excited.

Oh ya football has started baby.

Bayly receiving exactly what he wanted for his birthday.

First day of Grade One.

Happy baby girl!

I had to put this in. I went into the hallway to find this.....

So cute!

Where did the time go?

you know when you have those moment. the ones when you look at you children and think "where did the time go?"
I've been having a lot of these moments.

Bayly has finished kindergarten and is off to grade one.

sending him off for his last day was just as hard as sending him the first day.

Mason is always wanting to help Ryder

He is also talking none stop which I think is cute because....well he's 2 and anything a 2 year says sounds cute

Anna had her first dance recital. I am happy that summer is here and we get a break but seeing her on stage just drilled into my brain that she is growing faster than I would like

I absolutely loved how here curls came out. So cute.

And last my Ryder. He has learned how to pull himself up to stand.

Where did the time go?

I am glad to have these moments. They remind me why I stay at home. It is not so I can clean all day making my house look like a show home at all times. It is not so supper can be put on the table at 5 pm sharp. Or to make sure the laundry gets done everyday.
I stay home so I can spend time with these guys. THEY are my first priority, THEY are what matter. The rest of it well.....
it can wait.

Happy Mothers Day Mom!

Dear Mom,

"A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts."
-William Irving

If the best way to learn is through example, than I could not have had a better lesson.
Thank-you mom. Thank-you for showing me how to be a good mother.
I love you mama.

5 is the new 2

Bayly had a bit of a bad morning(to put it nicely). Here is a little of our conversation.

Bayly what seems to be the problem this morning?

EVERYBODY IS BEING MEAN TO ME!!!!

Bayly nobody is being mean to you. You are just in a bad mood.

I'M GOING TO HIT YOU!!!

Oh really and what do you think will happen if you do that

NOTHING

Really? I think there would be a consequence if that happened.

I'M GOING TO SCREAM IN YOUR FACE!!!!

And what do you think would happen if you did that?

NOTHING ! NOW GET OUT OF MY ROOM!!

I think you get the idea. A time-out was had, toys were taken away and 5 minutes later he came out with tears in his eyes and said he was sorry for what he said.

Oh Bayly I love you, even if you did want to scream in my face.

House of Boys

This is what happens in a house with 4 boys.

wrestling....

wrestling...

and more wrestling...

Some may think I am a terrible mother for taking a picture instead of breaking it up, but sometimes you just have to let boys be boys.

Crazy Hair and 6 months

Taking a picture everyday can be very complicated. Sometimes i struggle to decided what is picture worthy. When my nephew showed up this morning with "bed head "I knew exactly what was going to be my "picture of the day"

This is totally picture worthy.

Ryder is 6 months and very active. He is rolling over, he's pushing himself backwards, almost sitting up by himself and if he sees something he really wants he will wiggle himself foreward to until he reaches it.
He's growing up and I don't like it. Why can't he just stay like this for a little longer.

Auntie made this blanket for him. He is so overwhelmed with all the colors he didn't want to look at the camera.

Busy Busy Busy

We've been busy bees around here. We've been partying, baking, water sliding. It's been crazy.

Here's a little peek.

There is a rule in my house that if you don't even try to finish your supper then you will eat it for breakfast the next morning.
Anna doesn't like this rule...

Like I said before we have been doing lots of baking and the kids have been helping every time.

My handsome husband bought me these beauties.

My father-in-law retired after 44 years.

I don't know what she did but it must have been bad if this was her punishment.

Grandpa found Matt's old teddy bear. Matthew decided to give it to Bayly.
He has been sleeping with it every night.
Oh and someone rear-ended me when I was stopped at a red light. WITH BAYLY IN THE CAR. I was worried about Bayly and Bayly was worried about the doughnuts he almost dropped. Everyone was okay except my poor cracked bumber. =(

YAY!!!!!!!

You see this little munchkin.

After 2 1/2 years of fostering and what feels like a hundred court dates my sister is finally going to be able to adopt him. We love him and are so happy that he is going to be in our family...PERMANENTLY.
LET THE ADOPTION BEGIN!!!!!

pictures, pictures, pictures

I have been doing GREAT with taking a picture everyday. I am thinking that I might purchase a smaller camera. I need something that I can take anywhere. I feel like I am missing alot of good stuff.
Anyways here is what has been happening.

Jan 13
this was a great day. it was so nice that the kids and i headed out to play in the snow.

Ryder didn't even mind siting in his car seat.

this girl loves the snow. she buries herself right in it.

Mason is also a snow lover. I don't know where they get this from.

Jan 18
Family home evening treat. Daddy snuck out and bought some yummy cake for our treat.

Jan 22
Today was needle day for Ryder. He is 5 months 11 days and weighs 18 lbs 5oz. He did really good. Only cried for maybe 5 seconds just to let me know that it hurt. He ran a little bit of a fever and was a little cranky for a couple days after.

Jan 25
The snow storm of 2010. It was crazy out there. Usually I would stay in but i was giving a talk in church so the hubby and I ventured out and went to church. Everybody was getting stuck in the parking lot but that wasn't a problem. The men went out and pushed the cars and vans out one buy one. This is one of those times you want a camera on hand. It would have been great to get pictures of everyone working together.

Jan 26
The day after... I shovelled for one looong hour. The sidewalk, the walkway in front and the walkway in back. After took a nice long nap.
